Strange...

I just filled up my C230kSS for the first time. Put in 93 octane but after a few minutes of driving, the car seemed to run a bit smoother and alittle quieter. not sure if it felt alittle peppier or not, didn't really get on it since i'm still in break-in mode. question is, do u guys think the dealer may have put in some cheap gas or lower octane to save a couple bucks? car really felt alittle different after filling it up and just curious if the dealer would do something like that.

that thought came to mind initially, but then thought how many cars can one dealer actually move a month where it would make a significant difference in profit?

You also could have smelled alittle too much of that fuel and got high off of it. haha

With synthetic oil in there, its going to be a long time before the engine loosens up.

If the Kompressor engines are ran with 87 Octane, you will feel a falling forward sensation from time to time, as the knock sensors pull back the timing on a hot day, or if the intercooler gets heat soaked from traffic or several full power runs.

It says premium fuel for a reason. If you pay attention to your driving, and use the cruise a lot, you can get great mileage even in the city. My work commute frequently sees 27 to 29mpg, and its city streets, never going faster than 35-40mph.
