Changed my shoes
Well, I think the northeast has finally broken grips from the snow and I've finally changed my winter tires back to the stock tires. I can't believe what a ride difference it makes (now feels like I'm floating on air compared to the ride I got with the winter tires). Plus I'm getting an additional 2-3 mpg improvement in fuel economy.
Quick question, I bought the tires new (believe had 13/13 tread) and after a winter season it's now 8/13 tread depth. Is this normal wear? And how low the number before you consider replacing them?

Missing my beloved Benz
I went through a set of tires in four months already. I had my tires as low as 1/32 tread already before I replaced them. I wouldn't recommend driving in the rain that low.

Yeah, this winter has been particularly rough hear in northeast ohio (you california guys are very lucky). I just heard a surprising forecast that they think it might even snow this Saturday (hopefully not too bad b/c the stock tires really are pathetic when there's snow on the ground).
