DVD Video In Sport Coupe
the latest sport coupe have a dvd-comand but do not play video. the E class plays video and the system seems the same.
Does anyone know if it is really impossible to play a video in the coupe, or there is some kind of software locking system (or other type of lock), that does not allow us to use it.
Is the system ready to play video, and mb blocks it only for the coupe?
if this funtion is enable, but locked, does anyone know how to unlock it?

sabes de alguem q consiga apenas c o equipamento de origem sem leitores ā parte?
é q o classe E tem o mesmo command APS DVD q os classe C, e nos Es é possivel ver filmes dvd.

Euro W203 comands can have TV connected. The TV tuner can be used to hook up a DVD player, thus DVD can be shown on the comand screen.
The W203 CD-rom based comand will also be capable to get TV / DVD while in motion.
The W203 DVD comand unit will NOT be able to get TV / DVD while in motion, and is also not able to play a movie DVD in its nav.drive.

there is a way to unlock the factory system that bloks the tv when we start driving, but i donīt know how.
but i saw a class E being unlocked (for the tv) in a few minutes by the buyer in front of the official saler.
but he didnīt told me how to do it, but it was quite simple.
but the E class can use the dvd-command to view movies .
of course it is lock while in motion.
the c class have the same system, and why canīt we have videos?

The W219, W211 and R171 DVD comands are manufactured by Becker and have a separate Audio Gate Way and nav drive in the trunk of the car.
The EUROSPEC W209, W203, W169, W164 DVD comands are manufactured by Becker as well BUT are completely different then the 211 ones are. These 203 ones have an integrated AGW and nav drive and are not able to play video from the headunit in any possible way.
The US spec W209, W203, W169, W164 DVD "comands" are manufactured by Alpine and are in fact MCS II units.
moral of the story: NO video DVD playback in euro 203 comands
