Thanks to the great comments on this forum I have decided to purchase a C Class Mercedes. I had looked at the Audi A4 as well as the 3 Series BMW.
I really like the C230 Sport Sedan but have some questions. Is now a good time to purchase the car. Through this forum I have found out that Mercedes will release new engines. Is it true that the 4 cylinder will be retired to be replaced by a 6 cylinder. Will the 6 cylinder be better in terms of gas mileage and performance. I live in a warm climate and heard through this forum that warm weather can affect the performance of a supercharger. When will the new engines be released and will there be a price increase. I plan to purchase the car in Southern California to be able to buy the car at under invoice. Do you think that I will be able to get a similar deal if I wait until the new engines are released. In my experience, the best time to buy a car is when the dealers are looking to turn them. That would be when the new model year comes out, and they still have significant inventory in the current year (or sometimes even last year). A new engine being released, if it's not a new year, would also apply, however, probably to a lesser degree.

 

I doubt you would ever get a brand new car with a new engine for under invoice pricing since they will be in high demand and not under any pressure to get rid of the brand new cars.
