Hey guys I'm thinking of getting new rims for my car, but I have to be honest I love that classic amg monoblock full rim look ..... the Aero II's you know. However, I don't know if there is any set up that will clear the brake pads in the front. Do you guys know if this is possible. If not I guess Lorinser LM1's would be the closest thing, but way too much money and I'm not even sure if those would fit either.

You mean, clear the calipers right? The brake pads won't affect what will fit, so what you're asking doesn't exactly make sense, but I'm assuming you mean the calipers.

What you should do is figure out what size rim you want first (i.e. 17, 18 or 19), go to a wheel shop that has the rims you want, and then find out what set ups can fit over the stock calipers.

How could Lorinser LM1's not fit? It all depends on what size rim you're looking to get and what width rim.

But first find the rim you're looking for (online, at a performance shop, etc...) then either put an inquiry into the shop or online store that you found the rims at. Very easy. Usually most shops will give you the answer you're looking for. In this case, you're looking for a yes/no answer (Will they fit or won't they fit?). Usually shops would give you more alternatives as well (i.e. width of rim, size of tire, etc...)

LOL I meant calipers of course sorry. But I know the rims I want. The monoblocks and I have asked around and it seems that there are no monoblocks amg's that will clear those damn calipers! I want them size 18 in chrome. I've even checked tire rack and they don't even offer the monoblock aero II as an option for the 05 sedan. I know that other rims will fit, but I really want to see if I could find a setup that fits. Two places have told me that it would be hard to find a set up that would clear those calipers for that particular rim. Maybe MB has those rims with the proper set up, but I would be paying those guys an arm and a leg for those rims I bet. Lorinsors do fit. I just checked that out today. They also fit someone who is willing to fork over close to 4k for those with some decent tires and that is not me. Only willing to spend 2500 or so. I have 18 in tires already.

With 2500 or so you can get new 19 staggered rims with tires and definitely will clear your front caliper but don't expect authentic Brabus, Lorinser, AMG or Kleeman.
