OK, this is a great thread!

Everyones rims look so great!

I don't mean to pull it off topic, but can some one please explain to me how 19 inch wheels can get on the coupe and I can't use chains on c7 wheels without damaging the fenders.

TIA!

Beth

Lightbulb Well, put down Cosmo, and pick up C&D for a start

Here's a little lesson for ya:
when you go up a size in rims, you go down to lower profile tires, to keep the overall rim/tire diameter constant. It's called plus sizing - tirerack has a very good writeup on it.

Now, when you put on chains, you increase the diameter, which leads to the possibility of the chains hitting the fenders. That's the Cliff's Notes version. HTH!

OK, Cosmo, so wrong! Just because you read Maxium does not mean I read Cosmo! For goodness sakes, everything that magazine teaches I learned in high school! btw, I like R&T better than C&D. :p

I just want to be able to take my car skiing, this is so not fair!
