? re: 05' with 19's and stock suspension

Has anyone with an 05 gotten 19 inch wheels and just left the suspension/springs completely stock? How does it look? Pics please?

Also, if so what tire size are you running?

Thanks!

I did, but to answer your question, it still looks stock, had some issues with them to say the least and took them back off.
Anyway:
'05 C230 SS (stock suspension)
19 X 8.5" front +37 offset, fit with 10mm spacers, tires: 235/35/19
19 X 9.5" rear +31 offset, fit with short lug bolts, 265/30/19, rears rubbed when turning.
Sending rears back, getting new tires, 245/35/19 for rears, and new rear lug bolts. Hopefully these will finally fit.
When they were on, they looked good.

yes def. post pics i am interested in this as well. i looked all all the pages in the Official w203 post, and did not see what i was looking for. I want to get wheels and suspention. but its to much $$$ to do all at once. i was thinking suspention first in order to not look like a 4x4 but if it looks ok ill do wheels first, coilovers second.

the rears rubbed only when turning?? i don't get that... if they didn't rub when the car was parked, how do they rub when turning?

It would be possible that they rub on the outside, not the inside. In essence, if you're turning right, the weight distribution tilts to the left and the outside of the tire could be rubbing on the wheel well (and vice versa for left turns).

hittin160s, did you determine exactly where there was rubbing? If you did, was it rubbing on the outside or inside? Also, if it was rubbing on the outside, did you find out if it was possible to fold the wheel wells even more than they already are? Also, did you have your car alligned and have the camber checked after the rims were mounted (very important)?

05 C230K SS and 02 C240
Imagine this....The wheel gap will be about the same for front and rear compare to stock wheels. The car will sit around 0.5" higher above the ground. Since your wheels are bigger, thinner tires and more aggressive offsets, it will gives the impression that it sits a lot higher than using stock wheels. My wheels offset are front 31 or 32 and rear between 35 to 38 (can't remember).

Still curious as to what size tires (front/rear) you went with, Kenzmbz.

Wow, nice CITC230! I was actually considering getting these, but I'm set on getting a different type of rims. But, definitely cost some cash.

Rubs goin' over a bump with 4 people in the car? Does it rub on the outside or the inside? Just curious because on top of my 19's that I plan on getting (staggered of course), with the TEIN coilovers that I will be doing R&D for, I'm wondering how it'll affect what sizes I go with...decisions, decisions.

Again, very nice! Clean, just how a Benz should be.

Nah 10" is fine, mine is SLAMMED w/rear BBK's and I just recently swapped to toyo's and the rubbing is minimal now.
