New 05 C230 black smoke?
Alright, so today, I took off from home and noticed that my car was making and leaving behind some black smoke when I took off. I also noticed that in Sport mode, shifting from 1st to 2nd in automatic was a bit, well, crappy.
Anyone else notice this? Is this the valve thing that I read a little bit about? Factory recall? What about the tranny?

i've noticed that shifts do take longer in colder weather, holding higher revs for longer in order to warm up the engine quicker, is this what you're referring to? as far as black smoke goes, i've never seen that before, but on a warm day i have noticed grey smoke coming out of the tail pipe...weird
