Don't even try to say its a typo, you would be the first person (persun?) in history to hit the "u" instead of the "o".

Maybe I'll install one of those metal "Tornado" things in the air intake and "claim" it gives me 10HP?
Dyno costs $$$$$$$. PM me some $$ and we'll talk. Unless ICS wants to dyno it for free with the stock filter i'm not gonna bother.

Anyways, while yes it is easier to mod an already fast car, at least for me it is not quite as much fun. Im an engineering student, I plan on going for automotive engineering, and find it so much more fun because of the challenge of taking a slow/not so quick car and making it peppier. And I dont mean hondas, cause thats already been done. All it takes is money and a true grease monkey. Now trying to get a C230 fast is a real challenge and requires some thinking... Props to Speedwerx for successfully taking this challenge on! You'll all see, one day when I get some extra money Ill have my 10 second E-250! Yes thats right! A 10 second Ford Econoline!!!

-edit-
Sorry! My post really has nothing to do with anything!!! Please disregard!!!
Thank You, Have a pleasnt evening!
wow, dude i'm so by this post??

Pully= Voided supercharger, as well depending on the dealer my try and void anything related to the motor if it fails. all they have to say is the extra stress on the motor due to an aftermarket supercharger pully. you will have a hard time proving otherwise.

Chip = this is a depends on the dealer.. if something computer related goes to hell (like my SRS failing, or my auto up not working, or my AC shutting off on its own) and they see you have a chip. they can say some one tampered with the computer and not warranty it.

the only way around it is if something does go bad, swap every thing to stock and deny deny deny lol
Already thought of all that. I called a reliable contact at MB Service and he swore that they would not void the warranty on anything broken not caused by my mods. Most likely I will end up replacing many many parts and selling the OEM's on ebay or something. Look for some auctions in the future lol!

It's definitely going to cost you..... but mods are done slowly and surely and right so that you minimize losses and mistakes. In the end you get a faster car regardless.

As matter of fact do you haters realize that even if he fails and gets his car to 250hp he will be able to run with the likes of the old S4 and that is definitely not a slow car surely a huuuuuuuuuggggggge improvement from 189hp
eg
powerchip or ECU chip 10-15 hp
exhaust 2-3 hp
pulley- another 10-15
nitrous- oh yeah! cheap and easy, but dangerous kinda ricer but who cares
headers- 10-15 hpW203 C-Class

Now here is the money problem example:

RENNTECH

thanks man! no nitrous, not very safe and def void some kind of warranty.

I very well may go with lots of RennTECH goodies. we'll see.

I fully agree that his goals are pretty out of reach, but there's no harm in adding another 20HP to a fun car. So shut the ***** up already. Eventually, after he has some fun, he'll realize that c55 performance is out of reach for decent money using the 1.8. At that point, its up to him if he wants to yank the mill and go for a C32 engine, or just replace the supercharger with 15lbs of turbo boost.
i agree. no one has really tried to make a hot rod benz that is still a luxury car while could be a track car at the same time if i wanted it to be.
i'll do what i want regardless of the dumb haters posting silly crap like "go buy a c55 and stop telling us about your faster c230 that will beat a c32."
may upgrade the supercharger but not for a long time. simple stuff comes first.

lololZ 20hp, i'm thinking more like 50-100.
it can and will be done, like i said its only a matter of time.

Special treatment for a special kinda guy! j/k lol maybe they should you sure post alot of helpful stuff.

(BTW I can get those lights we discussed, just need to know the actual number I have two in mind, but I have to double check with you. My AIM is down purposely trying to act like I'm studying lol. Let me know when you clean up your pm.)

I also have some ideas for cheap mods for hp gains for you.

It will void if the pulley kit is installed badly n messes up the engine... but according to people it's been very reliable.
Now Uhm youre numbers do seem pretty optimistic. 6-8 hp from a filter? More like 2 at the max... Pulley + Chip should give u close o 20 hp. Exhaust will give u a great sound, but i doubt it'll get over 10hp. I've been doing bunch of research on the mods, with a decent amout of budget u'll prob get the car to 250 horses.... but c55 numbers . Good luck with your project, and keep the pics coming
hmm what is agood exhaust? maybe super sprint makes one? i know those are the best. or renntech probably has something decent. i hope. :p

As far as mods, here's a dyno I had done on Saturday (a Mustang dyno, so #s are real world-based, and lower than a dynojet's would be):

I've only got a Renntech pulley, ITG filter, and Eisenmann catback. Will re-chip it, but wanted to show where my M111 is currently.

I really don't think that people have been too harsh on ct, honestly.
if they did decide to void part of the warranty i would be pissed but i know they are not going to.

I hear eisenmann makes a awesome exhaust for the C's. I hear that the exhausts from Lorinser, Renntech, AMG etc. all use the same muffler and stuff and all pretty much sound the same. I read that some where in the topics here. Every 1 seems to rave about eisenmann's though.

ya man, maybe i'll get that. isn't that the $1000 or $2000 exhaust system that sounds like an F1 car when u stop on the gas?

Okay, so now that I have a little bit of time, just wanted to congratulate you on the choice, ct!

Funny, cuz I initially was considering a lease for my car, but decided that I wanted to have this car for a long time based purely on how it looked. At that time, a brand new C32 was totally out of my budget (and still is), but didn't really think about the possibility of finding a pre-owned C32. Plus, I am stuck on my color (904 - midnight blue).
If I found a C32 that had the options I want, I would probably purchase a pre-owned one of those before modding up this car, but...like someone else said earlier, that would take away all the fun.

You do what you want, period. No need to even respond to people who are telling you otherwise. Your choice, your money and your car! Like I told you in another thread, gotta give you props for considering all the mods on a leased car...guess that flew out the window once you made this decision...lol. Now, I must give you props for loving this car so much (as I do) that you want to step up with the modding.

Good luck with all of the mods!

no matter what type of exhaust you put on, a 4cyc engine will never have the same note as an F1 motor

man forget buying a C55 its so overpriced!!! even a CPO 2002 C32 went for $39K i think?!
Buy a C230, drop $9k worth of custom mods in it, it will be faster than a C32 and totally customized to whatever you want. can't beat that. (watch out i think i hear the c32/55 crowd coming!!)

yeah that along with the miles i am now putting on this car since i am driving it everywhere all the time. and the mods hopefully will not void the warranty on anything except for parts that i replace all together.
