Oh those wiley german engineers. Today I had to visit a ranch, way out of town. The last 25 km. was gravel. This was good 3 and 4th gear speeds. Lots of sweeping turns through ranch and farm country.
Now as soon as I hit the gravel, this flashing yellow light with an exclamation mark in it started continuously flashing on my dash. Isn't it clever of MB to install a gravel road indicator?
Do you think I have been watching too much World Cup Rallye on Speedvision?
Sideways, Smoky

i hope you were kidding. that yellow flashing sigh is telling you that ESP has been or is currently activated. without that you would have been fishtailing.

Ditto. The damage of a gravel road isn't worth the thrill of a gravel road. Unless you're driving a beater, of course.Originally posted by TimmyC230boy

Up here in Canada, we live in igloos and most of the roads are gravel. 'Specially where Smoky lives...
Seriously, if I were to do any driving on gravel in the C, I'd get long mudflaps and put steelies without hubcaps on the car. Also, a big ugly padded bra would be in order.
