C 230 K - the first 2400 km
- silence
- excellent fuel economy on the highway
- power
- near-celebrity status it confers on my Dad in our little town
- funky looks
- comfort
- handling
- "feel" when driving
- etc. (you probably know the rest)
The dislikes are few:
- counter-intuitive window switch operation, and an odd location for same (though not as bad as on most French cars)
- anxiety over body damage from brain-dead yobbos at shopping centres and logging trucks on highway
- poor rear visibility (this we knew before buying, obviously)
- inability (we think) to have dash lights illuminated in daylight (it's damned hard to read the computer screen and the instruments with sunglasses on in bright daylight).
The component failure is singular:
- passenger side window switch fell into door after a week. Has this happened to anyone else? I fished it out once and snapped it back in place (which was really difficult), but it fell into the door again shortly thereafter - its securing clips must be missing / broken.
Overall it's been a fine experience to date. Any comments on the window switch situation?
