Spoiler Question...

This is a question for anyone who had installed the spoiler after owning the car for a while...

Was there any difference in handling with the spoiler? Did you notice any extra stability at higher speeds? Did you feel that it added some downforce? On my way home I was able to cruise at around 85/90 and while the car is quite stable at those speeds, and really comes into its own, I would like just a little more downforce...

Thanks...

PS: I did search, just wasnt sure what to look for! Nothing I found was of any value... Although I will admit it wasnt a thurough search, dont have time to read through everything...

Depends on what spoiler you are talking about...the AMG, Renntech, lip-type spoilers are too small to make a sizeable difference in downforce pressure..

Well the M line spoilers on BMW's do work, yet they are smaller they do work at the higher speeds but also these spoliers are mainly 'looks' purposes only. However my bro's spoiler on his evo-8 is fully functional

Was there any difference in handling with the spoiler?
No, spoilers don't have any physical aerodynamic effect until you reach 78 mph, at which point most street spoilers still do not create enough downforce to "feel" a difference.

Did you notice any extra stability at higher speeds?
No (see above)

Did you feel that it added some downforce?
No (see above)

On my way home I was able to cruise at around 85/90 and while the car is quite stable at those speeds, and really comes into its own, I would like just a little more downforce...

I bought and installed the AMG spoiler on my coupe because I like the appearance...it's different from all the other coupes I see

Thanks...

You're welcome.
