Question i just slightly ding-ed my wheel and tire... is that bad?

i just hit a curb and although the wheel looks ok - there is a slight tear/flap in the tire - about 1/8" deep abd 3/4" wide. you think that's bad?

Not yet, but bad's coming.

Keep an eye on it. Might be time for you to upgrade your tires as well!

I had the same thing happen to me about 4 days ago. Just slightly hit a curb - have a small flap tear on the tire just above the wheel (I think it is the the area where the tire makers build up to protect the wheel edge)- should be no problem. Scratched the rim up a bit - I took it to a MB approved body shop and they fixed it for $75. I guess cost depends on how extensive the ding is. Just concerned about the tire - if a small tear causes any structural weaknesses.
