Does anyone know the EXACT details about this service bulletin which references the mis-fires some M271's are experiencing due to carbon build-up on the vavles? I'm just wondering if there is some maintenance that we can be doing to keep this problem from possibly cropping up.

to avoid maintinance put your foot to the floor on a regular basis. Your engine is designed to be driven on the autobahn and needs to be DRIVEN. try and blowing it out once in a while and you will definately notice a difference. I do it to my c230 k sc every day and I have never had a problem with carbon buildup.

In that case may I suggest that you this forum to discover the relevant issues with the M271 engine as compared to yours.
