depreciation of W203???
how much does a W203 depreciate? My November 2001 C240 with only 12,500 miles, full options, and flawless condition is being valued as a trade-in unit at 48% of its bnew price, meaning it has depreciated 52% over the past 3.5 years.
im not in the u.s. but im just curious how much is the "ideal" and "fair" depreciation over my vehicle.

Thats actually a good deal....US depreciation for MB's tends to be 25% in the first six months, then about 10% per year after that. I was recently offered $19k for a trade in on my low mileage (61k) E320...even though BlueBook shows it at $23.5k.

That 24k estimate can quickly turn into 14k.

I'm really curious why you dislike MB's so much you've been banned several times, yet you CAN'T stay away? Are we THAT interesting to talk to?

I don't know if it was during your MBWorld hiatus, but back in August 2004,
our "Delaware Banned special best-buddy" posted this in one of the threads (Speed Limiter?) debating top speeds of the C230K:

delbomber, does the 53% residual value you posted above representative of a 15k mile C240? or is it 15k miles/year x 36mos=45k miles? My car only has 12,500 miles since bnew.
actually im contemplating on trading my C240+Lexus IS+cash for a CLS350. but the dealer appraises my 2 cars value at 38% of the price of the CLS. So C240+IS(38%) and cash(62%) on the CLS350 which sells for US$117,000
on the other hand, im also thinking of keeping my C, and just trading the IS+cash for an SLK200 kompressor or a E200 kompressor or a 5series. But the E class looks much like the C, the SLK only seats 2, the 5series has been out since 2003. The CLS is the newest, but more expensive choice.

Who ever you are talking about, I’m not that person.
You are not very nice. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Better yet, get a life. You are totally off topic and if you want to talk about being banned, you are a clear example of that.
It takes some ***** to talk about negative personal experiences that affect you for the rest of your life. And you are making fun of them?
I feel sorry for people like you.
