Stereo install done!
Not that I ever listen to AM, but down here in SoCal I can pickup the 24 hour news stations and radio disney without any problems. They all have a 1 at the end (KNX 1070 is now 1071, Disney 710 is now 711). Have you played with shortwave yet? At night I can pickup some news and foreign language stations. It would be cool to pick up a German language station and tell people its' a German radio.
I've spoken to a person at Crutchfield and they said all the MB C class have a seperate amp for each speaker so I can't install an aftermarket HU without having to install new speakers and amps.
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks!

Audio 10 question - When I cycle through the BASS/TREBLE/BALANCE/FADER.. the last one is TA Volume. What is that?
Correct me if I´m wrong, but I believe that is the volume level for traffic announcements. I don´t have a Audio10 myself, but TA can be found on most HUs (at least on European models)
When TA is selected certain traffic announcements will interrupt CD playback and normal radio playback. This TA control can be used to increase/decrease the volume in (if I remember correctly) 4 steps. +0, +3, +6 and +9 dB.

Freddys answer is correct!

Does that work in the U.S.? Have you heard any traffic announcements? I wish I knew someone traveling to the UK or Australia that can bring back an instruction manual.
I have never heard any traffic announcements.
I have translated some of my Audio 10 manual and the TA-VOL is a sound strength adjustment. The TP is Traffic Program used for traffic announcements. TP is disabled using the button that has a speaker and a line through it - like a mute button.
Maybe you don't have this in US. Either these messages are a part of the RDS-broadcasts or its a completely different system. I use it all the time, and think it's a pretty neat feature.
