Chrome Mirrors

New Member, first post.

I just bought a used 2005 C230k sport 4door. The only issue is the previous owner bought it with the Chrome mirror upgrade, which I think kills the car. The question I have, is this chrome housing on top of the mirrors that can be removed or will I have to get them painted?

It can be removed, but most likely you'll have to paint them anyway. Remove the chrome cover first then you decide.
BTW, welcome

You are probably better off to just buy new covers already painted the correct color. For close to the same money you can get prepainted covers that match and there is no concern about the paint sticking, as would be the case if you try to get yours painted. And then factor in the wait for the body shop to do the work, the possibility of less than factory appearance..........just get new ones already painted. You won't be sorry.
