Not again. First weight didn't matter, now it does. First drivetrain didn't matter, now it does. First it was unfair to compare a 6M 230 to a 240, now it's unfair to compare a 4matic 240 against a 5-speed 230 ...This will never end...

230 boys, let them all stand around their 240 circle jerk 'til their hearts are content, but please stop feeding their flames of spinsanity.

Dood. drivetrain loss from 4matic is close to 30%

whatever

I think you are living in a castle made of sand, all this **** never happened til the younger crowd started buying 05 c230k thinking they've got a friggin' rocket n ****

Go ahead, search back to 2002 and you will not see a SINGLE thread about this.

Drivetrain loss.. an excuse, you are pathetic.

Delbomber : I can run faster than you
Johnny: But I only have 1 leg and am carrying a 60 pound bag
Delbomber: NO EXCUSE!!!!!!!!!!

Here we go again. You guys were the ones arguing the extra passenger in the 230 for the video didn't matter, now suddenly the extra weight of the 4matic matters. well, of course it does! I was merely pointing out the fallacy in your argument and the doubling back you have done on all your arguments. If you read the Kill Story post I made, I said you can't race a 4matic 240 to resolve this.

This will never be resolved. Notice no one ever disputes my statement that in normal driving speed ranges the 230 wins everytime. That;s all that matters.

Man, wake up and smell what you're shoveling. The entire debate was started by a 240 supporter...

I came from a G35, the power of which would have cost an additional $20K+ in an MB...so believe me, there is no way in hell I think the C230 is a rocket...but that doesn't mean I won't defend it against a completely flawed, irrational argument.

Who cares about the extra weight, how much do you think a tank of gas weights, adn the 17 inch wheels, larger brakes.

30% drivetrain loss now that IS huge

it's like taking off your supercharger. lol

whatever

Waht's so flawed about this? I mean how HOT is it in Philadelphia right now? go dyno your car dude. see if you can get better number than ctc230k with his INCREDIBLE 110 pound of torque peaking at 7000 rpm or something at 65 farenheit.. that's nothing , imagine driving an hour at +100 farenheit.

HEATSOAK baby, HEATSOAK

NOTICE NO ONE EVER DISPUTES THE STATEMENT THAT IN NORMAL DRIVING SPEED RANGES THE 230 WINS EVERYTIME. THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS.

Thank you. That is what I call closure.

Lol, real mature. If I'm a tool, you're a toolbox. LOLOL.

Yes, at night, on short drives. I won't argue with you.

after a long drive, or on a hot or humid day, especially with the stock MB intercooler, no.
