feedback on jl system for c230
i was thinking of getting a jl w-7 13" with a 500/1 jl amp with a custom enclosure for the trunk where it would look like it was molded well I am new to this forum and just thought I would get some feedback on what you guys have done with your systems

your 500/1 amp is not gonna have enuff power to juice up the 13" w7 ... you need atleast 1000/1 for a 13"w7 .. those w7 needs so much juice to run it...well your enclousure is gonna be sick.. it all depends on the shop to build the right specs and airspace for the sub... etc... well good luck bro

I am pushing 2 10 w7's with 2 500/1 amps. all jl. If you need more questions or help, just leave me one at vkuber@***.net - latez. I don't think 1 13 would sound that clean. My friend just recently installed 3 10 w6's with 3 500/1 amps, and I have never heard anything cleaner.

Try Image Dynamics IDMAX, i assure u you won't be disapointed. How much does W7 cost over there?? It'll depends on how sensitive the sub is and box design will also play major role, but u don't need full power to get the sub moving, half the power is plenty for everyday driving. In most cases, you wouldn't give the sub the whole 1000rms.

yea a 500/1 amp is not going to give that 13' enough power to hit. I have a 10' w7 with a 500/1 amp and it hits really clean... if i was you i would go with 2 10' w7 with 2 500/1 amp or a 1000/1 amp...the 13' isnt going to sound that clean i dont think. but if you really want a 13' then you for sure need 2 500/1 amp or a 1000/1 amp
