not in New York, so sorry can't help.
But if you put down $$$ on a car, and you come back and it's sold,
that is ONE dealer I would NEVER deal with again, and not recommend to anyone.

Check the marketplace at MBKlasse.com

2002's have been rising a little in price. You can probably get a better deal on the 03. Although the 02 is the more desireable car.

I'm thinking of picking up an '02 myself w/out the PANO Roof.
Make it a project car like Nuk's for auto-crossing.
Just a thought right now, but might go for it, once I finally stop modding my '03.

I just got a promo letter from the dealer I bought my car from, stating "... that model (mine) is in demand on our resale lot...", no less!!! But go try to explain this to knuckleheads at MBUSA who have pulled the Coupe from the U.S. market!!

Interesting.... I just got a similar letter on Saturday. The dealer is offereing "premium trade in value and additional incentives" for a trade on a C230 SportSedan. I'm keeping mine....(until the Cayman hits the streets)

Carlos,

If you are ever going to go this route, mine has the pano but, trust me, PM me when you get here and I will sell you mine and save you a LOT OF TROUBLE. I wrote up a spec list of the mods and recent maintenance for blazntigz and my car is half new, no kidding. I've spend several grand refreshing the suspension, every arm and bushing is new to newish. Recent trans and differential too.

I detailed my interior a bit for a forum "Car of the Month" article and it's seriously like new. I am going to have the hood resprayed to clean up the rock chips and get clear bra film. After that the car is seriously mint. I will link to the page when it comes out...

Why is the 2002 more desirable than the 2003?

A lot of car dealers send out those letters. It's a typical slimy car salesman type come on. My Dad recently got one for his '03 Tundra and someone else I know got one for a completely different type of car. It's just a scheme to get you in the showroom. There isn't anymore demand for your car there there ever was (otherwise that demand would be reflected in the published trade-in values, which are lower than ever). I really do HATE car salesmen!!!!

The older '02 has a 2.3L 4 cylinder vs. the 1.8L introduced in '03. The 2.3 is a little more powerful then the 1.8, but lots of people complain about how loud/rough it sounds. You can upgrade the power of the 2.3 with a single relatively cheap pulley vs. an expensive pulley kit for the 1.8.

Rough??? I would hardly call it rough.

Sports Coupes, sold from 2002 - 2005. 2002 had M111 cast iron M111 motor, 2003 + have 1.8l alum motor with dampener to reduce the normal vibrations of a I4.

M111, has/had chips, pulleys, cams and can get decent power out of the bolt-ons available. While smother, there is little to no options less the comparatively pricey pulley kits. Even so, a M271 manual beat a pulleyed M271 Auto.

The M271 uses higher stock boost to achieve the HP numbers, has less TQ, and people complained extensively about the shift program of the Auto, in the manual, there is more shifting involved as well.

The M111 was used 1 year of the 4 years the car was sold. Making it unique and typical of cars that usually become collectable.

I am telling you people, buy my car
