Angry Car got keyed, HELP

My girlfriend's car got keyed in the Westwood public parking lot near UCLA. One 5 inch deep scratch and another circular scratch on the driver's door. Saw the guy that did it but didn't realize until we got closer to the car which by the time he was gone. Makes me so mad why some people do this. The guy was driving a really old 2-door black mazda that looked really crappy so if anyone sees this guy, teach him a lesson for me please . Anyways, I want to get this fixed for as little as possible, if anyone has a place they can recommend help me out thanks...

A 5 inch deep scratch?! How does that work - did he dent it in 5 inches?

I think he means the scratch is 5 inches long. Sorry to hear about what happened. You might be able to buff out the circular scratch if it is not deep. Was it the CLK?

JEALOUSY is one of the 7 sins. Just because others can't have it, they go around distroying other people's property. Arrrgggggh!
Sorry to hear about your incident. Yes, post it in the detailing section. Maybe you might have some generous souls near you, who can offer a helping hand and/or advice to your vandalism incident.

That whole area is bad, filled with drug dealers trying to make a living off the UCLA crowd. My kid is moving there tonight, don't have a clue why because she goes to CSLB. She thinks it's safe like NYC. To give you an idea how bad it is, her car insurance difference between O.C. near CSLB and Westwood by UCLA is over $700/yr more. What does that tell you? Your car is at higher risk there. She's so naive she leaves the top down with her purse in there overnight. Maybe she'll get lucky and the car will get stolen and she can learn how to commute by bus or moped.

Thanks for your sympathy guys. I think I will repost in the detailing forum to get some more pricing and which shop responses. I meant "5 inches, deep" by the way. Just shows how forgotten commas can really change the meaning. Anyways, yeah people here suck. We also have a rav4 with the removable top. It's been broken into 3 times while sitting in our gated garage. I don't understand it. There were like three quarters stolen the first time and the second and third time nothing. We had these dell boxes and a dvd box with some junk in it since we use the extra car as storage basically. They must have been pissed after all that effort and crawling in through the back to find nothing valuable HAHA serves them right. But I still have to put the top back together which is a pain in the ***. I'm going to stick a sign that says, "Don't bother trying to break in. Nothing valuable inside, no battery, car can not start." You think this would work?

Ugh i feel your pain, i went to santa monica beach for a lil surf session after i gave my car a fresh wax of coat. Came back to find a DEEP 2 foot long key mark on the passanger side door. I bought some touch up paint from the MB dealer n tried to fill it up, but it's soo deep you can still see it. The car is also heading back to the dealer next summer, so i'm not ready to drop a bunch of money to get the shop to fix it...
