Oil Changes
has anyone changed there own oil yet? I have a 2005 C320 4matic and hate to pay the dealer all that money. I have always done my own oil changes.

Cost is $15 filter at dealership plus 8 qts of synthetic. A good topsider will cost you $85 or so; mine has enough capacity to take all of the spent oil.
You can get a tool at the dealership that will attach to a ratchet to remove the oil filter cap.
David at slk32.com has great step-by-step. Just make sure to ignore the # of o-rings; my c230 has only one; don't know how many the 05s have.

where does one attach the oil pump hose? there is no dipstick under the hood?
Also, i thought all service, (A & B service) was free till 50k, which includes oil changes...
If its free, hey.... may as well take it in!
