Why are HRE wheels so expensive....What's the deal with them?

Actually, looks wise I cannot imagine another rim I would use on my car. I am a big fan of their designs (as were iforged/DEP etc :0 j/kj/kj/k)

for the money, i agree it is a nice looking wheel as well. but there are a few good looking inexpensive wheels, but that still does not make sense to call HRE ugly when they have very simple designs. but oh well, everyones got there own opinions, i know if HRE wheels cost about 1k for a set of 4 wheel suddenly most people would love them.

IMHO, I'm way too tighta$$ed to pay that much for rims, esp. in NJ, where they bend so easily, even moderate 18 inchers.
I do really like them, and the customization is a very nice option, esp. the various finishes/center caps available. If I hit the lottery...
