Jim, as much as I now like the new 3-series, i don't think I could convince myself to take the hit on the benz just to pick one up so soon. although i'm sure the bmw performs and handles much better and is more fun to drive, i'm still in love with the looks of my C SS. i think it's one sexy looking car. if i could just get the suspension abit tighter and about another 20-30 horses, i'd be overall satisfied with this car. good luck selling the ride. if you do get the E90, you better come back and post some pics bro

My neighbor has a black one and at first glance it looks like a 5 series. Frank is right about the changing the wheels (they do look like *** with the small stock wheels) and thats why overall appearance I pick the C230, everything flows accordingly and no need to change the wheels to complete the whole car.

New 3 with 19 ASA AR1

Then again, changing and picking the right wheels makes a big difference in the appearance of some cars/trucks. Hell, even my freelander looked decent with the same wheels

changing the wheel, so ppl focus more on the wheel than the car lolz...

I saw the new 3 on my way home yesterday and I thought it was a civic from some distance because of the taillight...

I have to agree with FrankW in this case.

IMHO the pics you posted don't make the car look better. Those wheels are way large and make the car look even smaller than it actually is; wrong proportions.

all big rims do that though. look at a C class w/ 19's on it and being that it's a small car to begin with, looks even smaller. i guess that's just the style nowadays. looks hot in my opinion. my boy has a 04' Lincoln Navigator w/ chrome 24's and it looks like a toy but i love it and it turns heads always i think that E90 looks sweet with those wheels. can anyone photoshop them on a C class sport sedan?

And I don't like it on the Cs either. But then again in the 70s the fad was airshocks with as fat of a tire you could fit in the rear with as skinny of one up front.

Yeah, right!

It looks like a constipated TL, with an MB star and a much nicer grille.

And what's with the clamshell hood? Like that would ever make production on a C-Class....

i actually have to agree with amdeutsch in this case. that style wheel makes the car look really small.

well as i'm sure you know, times have definitely changed my friend. I'd rather see a benz or bimmer dropped w/ big rims than lifted in the rear w/ skinnies up front and fatty's in the rear on 14's. i'm actually looking into 19's right now for my C cause I feel the stock 17's look too small. big rims and big brake kits are definitely the current trend for those into modding modern cars. even some modding older cars are doing the same like on the show "rides" and "overhaulin" and those cars look gorgeous IMO. it's all about what a person prefers.
