I rode around in cut springs/Koni shocks for almost 2 yrs...I can say that the ride was comparable to my H&R CO EXCEPT I didn't have to use a spacer. Spacers suck

I did not call you rice, when you cut springs the car gets that ricer bump.
It also affects the whole point of lowering your car, for performance.
I had mine cut on the C240 in 01. Then Intrax let me do a kit to spec off my cut ones that worked for the W203.

These guys are calling our for a part number and think they are getting a good looking kit from H&R.
They need to know you cut your springs.

i am strongly considering cutting half a coil on my front now... i really don't like the 2 inch gap it still retains.. i think it is RIDICULOUS!!! either that or i might get some coilovers.. not sure yet..

those hid foglights are sweet! i want my lighting like that.. what kind of kit did you get for it? does it set off your sensors? i was suppose to buy an hid kit from widew203 but i have limited experience in electrical issues so i've been laggin until i figure out a bit more about it. was the install hard? what does the kit require to run properly and be installed properly? and what kind of driving / parking light do u have? thanks!

Honestly half a coil really isn't enough...look up my old pix I used to ride on half a coil....

Mikey, it's really not that difficult. I'd say that the most difficult part would be figuring out where to mount the ballasts (or you could make a case for finding the ground vs. power wire, but that is still fairly easy - especially if you have a power meter). Just to shortly explain, in essence what you're doing is cutting the wires going towards the bulb sockets, splicing in the wires to the ballasts, then splicing the exit wires from the ballasts to the HID bulbs. You just have to make sure that you order the same size bulbs that are in the stock setup (in our case, foglight bulbs are 9006/HB4). You can splice in the wires by either soldering them together (ensures a connection) with shrink wrap to cover the metal or by using wire taps.

what are you riding on now? i love your car, it's one of my favorites on this forum i looked at the pictures from the link on ur profile, are those the ones u're referring to? hopefully the half coil will be enough when i up my rims to 19's instead of the 18's i'm on now...
