well, to be honest I like spending time parked somewere talking in my car. And yes, I have a girl that continuosly bother me asking "please open the window", "please close it now", then 5 minits after "please open it", ten seconds after "no no, open it a bit more", and a minit later "no, I mean open it a bit less", and... so on.
So, it is of no use going out and point the IR. So, it is not wise letting the key in position 2, burning little candles and some other electric part of the engine. It would be fine modifying the setting with Stardiag and convince the car to obey me instead of following the paranoid ideas of mb engineers about the tremendous danger we all should fear having the windows working freely.
Safety is a pest nowadays, didn't you read the Audio20 instruction? "Point one: read this manual to learn how to listen to the radio with no risk for you and for your family" What risk? The risk of going crazy with advertisements?

well, i think its a feature most cars wont have because all someone needs to do, should your windor be cracked, is push the button to roll it down. that wouldnt be very good.
once you turn off the car you can still close the roof if with the removed from the ignition as long as you havent opened the doors. your not burning that much energy with the key in position 2. its the accessory setting, isn't it?

Shhhh, don't tell MB I'm getting the EPC program of 2004 (8 cds or 1 dvd) by 0$
Now, just want to know what else beside the pc is needed to run the program!? (I'm aware that its needed a code to run the prog and I also know that to change car codes it needs to be connected to the car, now, if only I could find the MB connecters for sale at a nice price :p )
I'm getting it just to full around if it works

The EPC is the ELECTRONIC PARTS CATALOG. It's not related to the DAS systme at all. The DAS DIAGNOSE ASSISTANT SYSTEM is the program used to connect to the car and modify settings. IF you have a correct and proper install of DAS, you do not need the car present and can use the simulator mode.

Or better yet, why don't you contact him/her, and take an extended drive.
P.S.
Bring money.
