Rear view mirror
Under Seating - Memory Position, I found this excerpt;
Store the current positions for seat, steering wheel, rear view mirror and exterior door mirrors in a memory position.
The vehicle has been ordered with the memory driver seat, but I had no idea about this particular memory function. I asked Mercedes-Benz U.K. to confirm this reference to the rear view mirror. This was their reply.
In order to see if you have this functionality we require the chassis number of your vehicle.
That's a tricky one, since I don't take delivery until September 2005!
Therefore, I'd be obliged to any owners for clarification. If this claim is correct, how do I manoeuvre the rear view mirror into a desired position? Presumably, by means of an electrical switch? If so, where is this located?
In the unlikely event that Mercedes-Benz U.K. ever produce a rational response, I must remember to publish it here.
Even now I have a pause as I adjust my mirror. I guess I suffer from over-lux brainwashing.
As it stands at the moment, this appears to be a simple marketing/proof-reading error by Mercedes-Benz.
I'm just wondering about the sanity of the dipstick who thought I was in a position to supply a chassis number (see original post)!
