Patronas, I know you said MB doesn't have a topsider available for the 203 yet, but several others are using oil syphons for other applications on their C-Class cars already. Some Marine (boat) syphons, etc., I think.
Can anyone share their experience on where to shop for an economical topsider unit: capacity, syphon tube diameter needed, any accessories I need to be sure I get, etc? Would a Topsider for a W202 C-Class also work?
Thanks.

I use the topsider from Griots Garage myself (Click Here for the link. It holds 6.5 liters and is really a nice heavy unit. Many others use the "TopSider" that can bought bought at many boat stores, as well as Overtons .
The top sider makes chaniging oil extreemly easy and "Clean" ... I'm sold on it !
Overtons carries the same unit as Griots for a little less - Here
Overtons has the original TopSider (2 Gal. Capacity)- Here

Is there a way to turn off the FSS indicator that says "service A (or "B")" is due without buying a $300 electric gizmo? If you've use one of the black boxes is it easy to use and how much did you pay for it?

MB Bob,
Actually I refered to the service manual that is not yet available for the W203. A TopSider is a device that is available and useful on a wide variety of vehicles (including boats). I paid about $40 for mine at a sports/auto parts retailer. The tube is just the right diameter and length. I could change my oil with a suit on with no worries (yes, in 10 minutes).
