Rim/Caliper Clearance

Hey guys, this is a general question. if you have bought aftermarket rims or upgraded your breaks, I'm wondering how much of clearance do you have between the back of your rim and the break caliper? I was searching the net for the minimum amount that should be allowed and I read that brembo recommends at least 3mm, I read on a porche forum that they have as little as maybe 1mm to 2mm clearance between the caliper and the rim. I think I also read here that somebody had like about 1.5mm of clearance....the gap I have now is about 1/4 an inch or about 6mm...thanks.

I've seen guys run 1mm, but 3mm is really more 'sane'.

You can't have too much, trust me, you don't want your rims or brakes or anything getting messed up.
