A/C filter

Do you guys know where is the A/C filter (for re-calculate air) located?

or is it the only one located above the battery?

TIA.

thank you for your reply.

But a tech guy told me that this filter is just for fresh air, not for the re-calculate air.

any input?

Recirculated air can be filtered with a carbon filter that is included in some, but not most C class cars. The filter can be turned off or on (handy if somebody rips one) with the switch shown on Pg 197 of the 2005 wagon manual. If you don't have the switch, you don't have the filter, so forget about it.

Activated charcoal filter....

A C32 should have the filter....actually filters, there are two of them side by side in the passenger side of the dash. You need to remove a cover to access the filter box. I believe all cars delivered with digital climate control have this setup. It works very well to keep odors out of the cabin. I leave mine always on.
