Front Bushes

Has anyone had the front bushes that connect the wheels to the chassis changed? If so, how much labout does it actually involve?

Also, the garage told me it was a very common problem on pre-facelift c-classes so shouldnt there have been a tsb out for it to be fixed for free or something?

Thanking You

Zishan

See Garage
There is a TSB out regarding dried out "bushings" on sway bar ends and thrust rods. This is not a C-Class problem but a general Mercedes issue. If under warranty, it is addressed completely without charge.

I tried to change out the Bushes, voted for the democrats each of all 4 times they ran, only sucessful once, that was for President Clinton. Luckily we have term limits and we can oust the Bushes from the White House in just a few short years.

I do know that when bushings were replaced, for instance when i swapped to AMG sway bars, they were also lubricated with some special goop that kept them from drying out so fast. Not sure what that goop was, but if you are going to have it done, try to find out exactly what is used, and availability of product. That's something that can be done as a DIY.
