Whats the deal for 2006 - Coupe?
Can someone tell me for sure that they are not making a 2006 230 coupe? I looked on edmunds and there is no sign of it. And it doesn't look like its on the MB website? I was waiting for the 2006 - V6.

umm, you waited a little too long :-(
BUT you can go to Canada and get one, just have to figure out how to bring it back to the US. (if you have any idea how to do this, i am interseted!!!)

MBUSA dropped the Coupe in anticipation of the B-class, and then postponed the B-class when the Dollar/Euro exchange rate was unfavorable for them to sell the B-class profitably in the US. The last I heard, we may be seeing the B-class in 2007 at the earliest.
I think that a C350 Coupe would have been an awesome stealth pocket rocket, especially if they kept the price close to the previous C320.
It shouldn't be too difficult to register a Canadian car in the US. I have a Canadian friend who works in VA and he registered his car here with relatively few problems. The main thing was that he had to have a dealer remove the DRL and show a letter at the DMV that it was done. Financing one through a US financing company may be another matter, though. I'm also pretty sure the Canadian warranty won't be honoured in the US.
