Leaking Clear Oily Fluid

Does anyone know where this is coming from?
Found a puddle of clear oily fluid under the center front end of the car while it was parked overnight in the garage.
Everything seems to be working ok, but what is this fluid? - Power Steering, brake, engine oil?

Checked the power steering and brake fluid reservoirs - both are ok.
Any other ideas?

Thanks

If everything else checks out, and it is clear and oily, my first reaction is that the A/C system is leaking. The A/C needs both refrigerant and lubricant to operate properly.

But I would seriously eyeball both the PS and PB systems to make sure there is nothing outboard of the reservoirs themselves that is leaking [brake lines around the ABS controller, lines from the PS reservoir to the rack].

In any case, this calls for a service visit.

Not to be a smart ***, but are you sure it's not just condensation (water) from the A/C?

what year is your car? I have a 2005 model and i had similar leaks under my car as well. I ignored it for a while cause i thought it was my wife's car that was leaking....i was thinking to myself, it couldn't be my brand new car, it must be my wife's.

To make a long story short, i went for my first oil change last month and *&^%$&*@ that oil leak was coming from my car!!!! The mechanic told me that its a common problem that mercedes has regarding the (i forgot the part name) but i was so pissed off. MORAL OF STORY, if you find a leak, don't take it for granted that it's not coming from a brand new car cause youl'll end up like me.

At first I thought it was just water.
I stepped in it and then got on my bike for a ride but my sneakers kept sliding off the pedals because I was oiled up.
I then got back and inspected the puddle more carefully to determine that it was not just water.
I contacted a mechanic friend who suggested that it was coolant. Apparently the coolant in our vehicles is clear and oily. The coolant level in the reserve bottle seems to be fine and the car is running at just below 100C in steady driving with the outdoor temp of app. 85-90F. (NY weather).

The car is a 2001 with 64,000 miles.
