2005 White C230 SS
advices needed please

Hi all
I just broght my car 2005 C230SS @5000KM back to dealer for a simple oil change, but the guy in the car wash department washed my car with windows opened, so my car is pretty juicy inside. The SA told me told me to leave the car with them to clean it, but a few hours later he called and told me that the water got into the seats and caused some electrical problems, he also suggests me to talk to service manager today, what do I say ? I think the water will cause a lot problems in the future. please let me know what you think, thank you~

For the most part, the water should not cause too many problems down the road.

Used to live in seattle, not put the top up at night... EVERYTHING would get rained on. Power windows/locks/dash/etc. Once its all dried out, good to go. Although I was told that if electical is wet, make sure it dries before playing with it, otherwise stuff will short out.

I would have them replace any damaged electronics, and to thoroughly clean and dry out the inside of the car. Then, they should test everything to ensure it is in proper working order before returning the car to you. You may even be able to work in some other benefits such as a full detail, or that they provide you with a "nice" loaner while they work on your car.

Bottom line is that this was an accident and that accidents happen. They should make an effort to fix things and to make you happy. However, there is a limit to what they should do (for instance, they don't need to replace your car for this).

Good luck.

I left my right window slightly open during a night of VERY hard rain. The passanger seat and the right side was drenched... it all dried though and looks like nothing ever happend. Cept i do have manual seats :p . I'd get some stuff of the dealer cause of their stupidity even if nothing is damaged.
