Over here we don't have it.

Is it possible to order the euro keys through these guys?
If you have a part no for the Euro key why not try it? If you have a part no you could search for it on their website, if it comes back with a price then it may be available.

I'm in the UK and ordered the US key, I would prefer the UK / Euro one, I thought I had a part no for the UK key, so the US one will do for now (even though it doesn't work fully in the UK!)

Yes! After 21 days, Jamie came through. My key arrived in a box big enough for a football helmet, but it works! I don't know if he felt guilty about the time it took to get this done or just a simple mistake, but I was not charged for shipping. So, my total cost was just $51.41!!! I may have gotten the cheapest key yet.

The crappy part is that I don't have a car (at this moment) to go with the key. I got to test the key as I drove it to the dealership for a few days worth of repairs to a noisy drivetrain.

I am going to order a new key later this week!

oempartsdirect.com seems to be a really good find! Quick question though, when you get the new key is there any special step needed to program it with the car. Can you just go to the car and unlock it, or do you have to put it in the ignition first?

NO special steps required. Just stick it in the ingnition and go. I did do this first, just in case I needed to train the car/key. Not one problem at all.

for us Los Angeles, California people...

called Downtown L.A. Motors and they said $205. bring the car in and obviously proof of registration and u can get the new key.

called Keyes European in Van Nuys and they said wait till the end of the month and they'll be gettin more in. As soon as all the black old ones sell which is in a couple weeks, the new chromes are going to become standard. He also stated that the new chrome ones are actually cheaper than the black ones.

Audi is the same unless you have a VAG-COM which allows you to reprogram the switchblade key to close and open the windows via the IR device.

Interesting, not one post mentioning keyless go key availability. I emailed
Jamie last week but so far no response.

So, anyone get a key for keyless go feature ? I don't know if it's vehicle dependent, key dependent or both.

Me too! Honestly, I hadn't been paying attention to this thread in a while, so I still had it in mind that the key was $200+ and didn't realize that I could get it for 1/4 the price. Thanks to BlakeP, nlpamg, mj50...I took the plunge and ordered one.

UPS Ground is usually 5-8 business days, so I'm looking forward to getting it.

holy ****, you're right! I just figured it out today. you have to press unlock once and then press and hold it to have it put down the windows and drop the top! I just wish it had the same range and looks as the MB key...

Scheduled delivery date is on Thursday! I'll have to wait until the weekend to test it out since my car is in the shop.
