I don't think you could make it functional. Radio waves don't pass through carbon very well.

In fact, the SLR's decklid outer skin is made of fiberglass for that very reason. The rest of it is carbon, but for the nav and teleaid antennas, they can't see through carbon.

I think it could be cool IF it was functional, though.

That antenna is only for Teleaid and cell phone right? If he doesn't use neither, then no harm done.
