Hi,

I am wondering if anyone try to take off the head lights without remove the front bumper ?? I like to upgrade my headlights to the 2005 clear lense headlights. Anyone ??

I’ve been looking into the steps to replace the lights myself recently. People have said it is possible to do it without completely removing the bumper...but you still need to unfasten it and move it a little. The advantage is that you don’t have to disconnect the fog lights and everything. However, everyone has also agreed it is much better to just go ahead and remove the bumper.

Remove it, save the trouble, i tried doing it by removing a little and trying to fit my hand inside small holes and stuff, it was a pain in the @$$.

I would just remove the bumper. For BIX install, if you try to install the lights without removing the bumper, you end up breaking tabs off the light itself. Unless you don't care about breaking anything, it might be beneficial to take off the bumper....but it's up to you

I have done it when I installed my BIX but wouldnt recommend it for anyone to do it. Save your headaches for something else and remove the bumper.
