Found A Cool Feature In The C Coupe!

As you know, there's a two-level compartment bin located in the middle of where the driver and passenger sits. Well, open the bottom bin and you'll see a fat black wire heading into the tray. Weren't you guys ever curious what this is for?

Well, when I opened the top compartment, I noticed there's a square piece of plastic that stands out from the rest of the velvet lining. I pryed it open and guess what I found?

A phone jack! Do you think this is for internet access via the V60 MB phone and possible hooking up a laptop to access the net? I need confirmation.

That is the plug for the cradle for the integrated phone in one of the K2 packages or dealer installed phone kit for the Motorola V60 or Timeport. Unless you have an integrated MB Motorola phone the plug is useless.

Of course you can. Just follow where the jack hooks up and connect this end to the internet. Don't drive though or else you will lose your connection.

Weird...

I opened that compartment this morning to grab my (non-Benz) cell phone and found this tab laying there.

"Hmm, I wonder where that goes?" Says I. "Looks like it covers up that phone plug" I says back to myself. "Self, you didn't spring for the phone so the existance of this doesn't mean a whole lot to you" I then mumbled, or at least imagined myself mumbling. So anyway, I snapped it back in place and went on my way.

Not sure what the heck this has to do with anything, but I thought it was strange I'd notice the jack the same day a message appears about it...
