Throttle lag

I came across this on the nhtsa.gov site. I guess this was in response to complaints from car owners about throttle lag.

"Make : MERCEDES BENZ Model : C CLASS Year : 2001
Manufacturer : MERCEDES-BENZ USA, LLC.
Service Bulletin Num : 50012 Date of Bulletin: MAY 22, 2001
NHTSA Item Number: 621570
Component: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Summary:
ON SOME VEHICLES, UPON RELEASE OF THE BRAKE PEDAL AND / OR APPLICATION OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THERE IS A 1-2 SECOND DELAY UNTIL THE ACTUATOR MOVES TO THE NEW ACCELERATOR PEDAL INPUT POSITION. THIS DELAY IS INTEGRATED IN THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AS A SAFETY FEATURE AND IS NOT SUBJECT TO MODIFICATION IN THE FIELD. *TT

Sorry if this was resolved/discussed before, but does anybody know if there is a solution for this? If it has been discussed, please feel free to and give me this link: LINK: Learning how to search , but also keep in mind that I'm always tryin' to help on this forum, so I'd prefer an appropriate link that, those who are knowledgable of the solution, could point me in the right direction.

I noticed this right away with my car and it's a 2004.5, but I thought it was due to the supercharger. Since I never had a car with forced induction/boosted car (my MX-6 was NA), I didn't know whether there was a lag with superchargers just as there was with turbos. I found out quickly after, that it's not necessarily the same situation (even though both superchargers and turbos provide power through forced induction).

Not sure if there is any programming that can be bi-passed through Star Diagnose to take off the speed control, but it's something that I've not liked on the car ever since I got it (which is really rare because I Love most things on my car).

If anybody can shed some light on this, that'd be great!

Any car with Drive by Wire technology will run into this problem. I found that aftermarket chip tuners can easily resolve this issue.

What aftermarket chip tuner would you recommend?

This lag is a focker. Coming from a V-8 Mustang GT which just exploded off the line, this is a drag. Half the time I feel like I'm going to stall

APR and GIAC are more geared towards Audi and VW applications

For MB, Upsolute and Powerchip Group seem to be popular with the MB side
