I meant the delay when shifting from neutral to reverse or drive... really? I haven't really noticed it.

They use the Mercedes DAS tool and they reset the adaptations and your transmission starts learning all over again. If you always press the pedal and drive fast it will learn to shift fast and you will feel the shifts. If you drive slow then your transmission will shift slowly and more smoothly.
