Your "you pay peanuts you get peanuts" comment is most definitely dissing.

How is "I pay peanuts I get peanuts" a comment about you, other than you might be cheap? It says to me that what you bought was barely worth the little amount you paid. It just sounds to me like someone is dissing a product simply because it didn't fit their particular application. Whatever. No real point in continuing this tit-for-tat. I think everyone understands our points of view.
I would certainly have tried these out for $400 if I still had a W203

So if I were to get these, I couldn't put an aftermarket set of HID's in them because as I understand it...they will be too heavy for the 'projector' or something like that? If you can rig OEM 04 halogen headlights with aftermarket HID's then why can't you with these? Thanks for the clarification. They look great btw!!

You should be able to fit aftermarket HID's into these housings, as long as the HID's are designed to fit in housings made for H7 type bulbs. I wouldn't waste the money on that though. Just use Sylvania Silverstars. They have a nice white look and are as bright as OEM bulbs, but won't blind other driver's like some HID's will.

Yeah...but thats the fun in getting the HID's- blinding other drivers. I know Lambo's and Aston Martins always blind me with theirs, and theirs are OEM! BTW whats the website again that specializes in selling aftermarket hid's. Alot of the bimmer guys go to them but cant remember their site. thx Jim

I have never really seen a set of factory projectors up close so my only frame of reference was my stock lights. Quality seems pretty good although not exactly the same (duh right). Its just that things don't CLICK together like on my stock assemblies. Other than that, I didn't not notice anything major.

Fitment to the car was as good as stock lights. I think we must assume now that they in fact do not fit the COUPE.

Turned on, they look great. I get a nice clear beam that I did not expect. Of course I've not really had experience w/ projectors before. I know the picture of the lights ON isn't good but my camera SUCKS.

I'll have to see how they hold up over time but for now NOT BAD FOR 400 BUX!
Wow,

Looks good... its a great alternative to the bi-x's.....looks pretty stock and half the price....... great mod!

looks pretty damn good... ....great price...they're an option on the 05's for $790...not bad considering the MB warranty that comes with it...but non-the-less....I'd go with that set-up if I didn't get the Bi-Xenos!

A small note to all: autodynamics has changed their site to indicate that this is indeed a sedan-only swap. Just for the record, of course!

Too bad: I would've liked to see these on my coupe. If anyone does see a coupe version, please let us know!

No they are not. These are fakes for halogen bulbs. OEMs are BIX with all the other stuff that goes along with it.

Yes, there's a version you can buy that is painted black, unfortunately until the member becomes a sponsor here he cannot post how to buy them.

Are you talking about this Head lights ??
http://tw.f3.page.bid.yahoo.com/tw/a...aucview=search

Or you can open the head lights and try to paint it black ?? Not easy if you never done that before. A lot of people doing this on their Japanese car(EVO,WRX STi......) try to look more JDM !!
