Also, my apologies. Didn't mean to Hi-jack your thread, cuz the car looks really good with the TEIN's on. Drop looks nice and everything.

Yeah, I was thinkin' 'bout it, but I've been pretty busy at work, so if I did that, I'd have to keep an eye on the boards, just to break clean eventually...plus the fact that I'm so tired and my eyes are hurting from looking at work on the screen the entire day...I think it's time for a break.

Is that the lowest ride height for the Tein coilovers?

I dont think so.. I just wanted something comfortable to ride in still... I usually have passengers that sit in the rear, so it can't be slammed to the ground...

They are currently available for 240 & 320's, and it's debatable whether or not they can be used on 230's with optimal results. Don't be fooled...Phattbam is not special, though he sometimes thinks he is!

Hi newbie. Why don't you check out my TEIN thread! Might do some use for you.

Okay, one more time for all the newbies, SEARCH really does wonders. If you search for TEIN under the w203 forums (including AMG) you'll see that I am in the process of having my car in for R&D (research and development) with TEIN. In fact, I just dropped my car off this morning. Today will be the S-TECH springs, tomorrow will be the Super Street coilovers and the next day, who knows? (They asked for an extra day because initially it was only going to be in for only Thursday and Friday).

I continuely give updates to the status of the coilovers, so sit tight and I should have answers by the weekend, to ALL the questions.

Well, TEIN didn't inform me of needing a spacer when they installed the Super Streets, so I would assume you wouldn't need it.

Since these are the Basics, I don't know if there really would be a difference, but you could always check with TEIN, USA to make sure.

Nope. I posted a TEIN thread in the C32/C55 forum. The weight displacement of the V8 in the C55 needs to be R&D'd. If you are interested, you should contact TEIN, USA.

Right now, I believe they're doing the 320 and 230 coupes, but I wouldn't be surprised if the C55 R&D would follow shortly after. If you'd like, I can send an email to the rep I was dealing with and see what their timeline is for C55 R&D. I know eventually, they do plan to go that route. That's what I was told by the rep.

I'm guessing the timeline is probably too far out. I'll probably just have to get the KW v2's. I do like the drop on phattbam's car though and I'm guessing the Tein's are probably cheaper than the KW's in price.

Here's the thing. The one's phattbam got are the BASIC coilovers, which are equivalent to the H&R coilovers. They are not "full" coilovers because they are not dampening adjustable.

The KW v2's are "fully" adjustable and equivalent to the TEIN SUPER STREET coilovers. These allow you to adjust the ride height and dampening. In terms of price, I believe they are around the same. TEIN currently lists the Super Street coilovers at $1,400 and I believe the KW V2's are around the same price.

Either way, I would make sure that there is no problem with the KW V2's on the C55 before purchasing.

Actually, probably not too far out... I volunteered my 320 coupe for R&D, it goes in next week... And if i heard correctly, the 230 coupe is sometime in front of me... (may be wrong on the 230 though)

Neal (BlackC230Coupe) has run the KW's on his C55 for some time without any problems.
