19387 Defective Blower Speed Regulator funciton check blower motor and verified customer complaint. Short test performed using S/D/s, code in CAAC # B1460 A32N1 blower regulator checked voltage to blower regulator, checked OK. Right rear blower motor replaced regulator for intermitttent operation cleared all codes, road tested and checked OK"

Hope your AC stays working until you can get it fixed (then again, if you are spending time in San Diego, you might not ever need the AC -- or the heater for that matter!).

Where is this part located in the car?

This is a pretty old thread but the issue may have two problems. First the blower regulator and also the blower motor itself. I also had this issue and the dealer changed the blower regulator and the problem happened again and then they changed the blower motor. It seems that this is a common problem and they change the regulator first and if that does not solve it then they change the blower motor. I have been trouble free for about 15 months now and 25K in miles. Just wanted to update for those that have had the regulator changed and are now experiencing the same problem again.

I had the same problem in November. FP number 203-820-25-14 Blower
FP number 230-821-64-51 Blower Regu

So they replaced the blower and the blower regulator

Under warranty still.

Experienced the problem three times in the last three weeks.

The first two times, the cold air flow restarted soon after it had stopped. Yesterday, in the middle of a major heatwave, it stopped for a good minute. I could hear the fan blowing a lot outside, and the fan shut off when I stopped the AC. After I restarted the AC, everything worked fine.

I'll print out this thread before bringing the car in.

This just happened to me yesterday. No air came out whatsoever, even when I put the blower all the way up. Turned the blower off, waited a little bit, and turned it on again and it worked fine. Even today it worked fine when I started the car. BTW, I just hit 60,000 miles.

Blower regulator replaced under warranty. Works fine though the air feels slightly less cold somehow (probably just and impression).

Cool AC Problem

Does anyone know if this is covered under the MB Extended Warranty. My AC started doing this three days ago.
