Leftover C230 prices?
Hi,
I am thinking about picking up a leftover 2005 c230. What kind of prices have people been getting. So far this s the best price I have:
Invoice on any leftover car - 2000 (marketing dealer cash). So basically 2k below invoive. I cant seem to get below this number with any dealer. I know there is a holdback of 2.5% but they are not too willing on giving this to me...what do you guys think?
Is this a good deal? Can I do better?

Again, its all depends on Dealer's inventory ! if the dealer got a lot of 2005 C230 left, they may give you more than $5k off MSRP, But if they have limit number of 2005 C230 on hand, they know some people still want I4 w/supercarger over 2.5 V6 on 2006 C230. They may give you only $3k off MSRP !! Looks like the deal of yours is in between my example here !!

I checked for another post and the price difference at carsdirect.com for a 2005 vs. a 2006 with auto, power seats, heated seats, cd changer, sunroof is $1,500. I would go with the 2006 and pay the $1,500 because if you keep the car 3-4 years like me, the residual difference will probably be more than $1,500, if you keep the car a long time like 7-10 years, you won't have a supercharger to replace. Last year the price difference was not only a lot larger but the 2004.5 leftovers got 4 years free maintenance, now it's the other way around, the price difference is not big and the new car benefits from a V6 with more hp.

As for the topic at hand...
I've been looking for a white C230K SS in the Dallas area and my local dealers don't have one in the metroplex, so they are having it shipped in from another city.
Therefore, for the color I want it's apparently difficult to find one from whats left on the market.
I've been quoted a $1000 below invoice on a pretty well loaded model, if that's any help? Here's a LINK to a post on this forum with more details.
Good hunting!
