just a thought how come i've never seen anything on this forum like replacing the std ECU for a full programmable one e.g. Motech, Haltech, AEM EMS, Wolf 3D etc etc

MB engines incompatiable with thouse things ?

 

Sounds like a great idea but I think that no one has bothered to map the profiles in an analog format since the factory or AMG supplied units have an encrypted data set which prevents average tuners from simply dumping new profiles into the ECU.

If the engine could be completely mapped in temp, humidity, RON, RPM, oxygen and so on then certainly a custom mapping with a user selectable interface is plausible. Why not just pay way too much money and buy it from AMG ? ?
