FSS service indicator early trigger
My car (02 C320) has about 2500 miles before the next service is due. Is there a safe way for me to trigger the service indicator to come on now, other than to drive more miles?

shorthair, why do you want to trigger the service reminder? Is is because the car is going out of warranty?
If the car is already out of warranty, who cares what the FSS says. You can take the car in because the service cost is coming out of your pocket. They will be happy to service the car as long as you are paying.
If the car is about to go out of warranty, talk with your service advisor and see if they will do the service for you even though there is still 2500 miles to go. It is a good idea to take the car in for service right before the warranty expires anyways. They often find some things to repair that you may not be aware of; TSB's to apply for example.
In my car, whatever mileage the FSS indicates to service is really short by 50%. So if it says, 2500 miles, that means 3750 actual miles (approximately). I hope you are using Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic oil (MB 229.5 oil) if you are maintaining the car by the FSS.

I already spoke to service advisor, that is why I am asking here.
My car is extremly troublesome so unfortunately I am a frequent visitor. All the latest broken stuff was fixed the last time I was in (they had the car for 3.5 weeks over the past two months). Unless something else breaks soon, the only thing I need to go in for is the next service.
