touchshift? i use it all the time!! accelerating, engine breaking, you name it, i cant stand it on"D" its just doesnt do what i want it to do

Well i have a 6speed and i LOVE driving it. My mom has a 325 and i sometimes play with the tiptronic or w/e they call it. I find it a total waste of time, it takes too long to actually shift when i want it to and the downshifts barily do anything for engine braking. I found the best way to control the shifts is to slap it into S mode, and then just control the gears through the throttle. Like remembering the points when the computer upshifts / downshifts when u mash or step off the pedal. Yes it does sound pretty obvious, but i find it to be the best way for control with an automatic.
