CD-Based comand (pre 04) and traveling out of state
Hi,
I've just got 2004 US based comand installed. If anyone is looking for one - contact Steve, quality all the way
Now the question, let's say you're going from one part of US to another, how do you do it with CD-based comand since there are 10 CDs?

All of the major highways are on all the CD's, so as long as you are on the interstate you are ok. You can't stray too far off with the wrong CD before you are nowhere! I usually start with the CD that is required at my destination.

I keep my nav cds in a zippered cd case in my driver's door pocket. Usually. if I go anywhere out of my immediate area, I go really far! I used 4 different disks on my Christmas trip last year. Oh wait, is your cd drive not in the dash? If that's the case, I guess that would be a pain. Mine's right behind the screen, so I just have the ol' lady hand me the next map disk, and keep going.

I'm pretty sure the COMAND book/manual also explains how to do this.
You can actually put in an address out of state (CD region), and COMAND will navigate you through from your starting point on your current CD. Once, you reach the limit/border of that CD, it will prompt you to insert CD # X, and the navigation routing will continue.
