Lowering my Benz
I just got new wheels and want to lower my C240. 17' AMG Split Spoke wheels. Rear tire size is 245/40 and fronts are 225/45. I want to get H&R springs but don't want to lower the back because they look low enough. The front needs the major adjustment. The H&R springs claim to lower the from by 1.4 and back 1.3. Can I leave the back the way it is and only do the front by 1.4. If so what do I need to do.

I had the same question, I think the back looks droopy but I think lowering the front without the back at all may look bad. I would like to see the H&R drop in the front and half the drop in the back.
What looks really good is pushing out the rear wheels with 15mm spacers, really fills out the wheel well.

Are you suggesting not to lower the car and use only the rear spacers?
Has anyone used the H&R springs (1.4 front 1.3 Rear) with 17' wheel? Can you tell the difference?

No use the spacers either way. I want to lower my car the 1.4 in the front but only .7 in the rear. I hear you can use cup kits to lower the rear not as much and then lower the front with the springs.

MB coupe.
Buelly,
Have you used the spacers without lowering the car? How does it look? Do you have pictures?
I don't want to lower the car, but would like to improve the tire to fender look. I hadn't thought of the spacers.
Thanks, Smoky

Original (European) MB suspension setup is much lower at the front compared to what MB ships to the US. I hear this is due to US ground-to-bumper regulations that standard Euro setup doesn't meet. (BTW, this is also true for other makes).
I wonder if anyone knows part ## of the stock Euro front struts and springs, would be a nice alternative to aftermarket stuff and would certainly look good.
As for spacers, here is what spaced (or staggered??) wheels look like:
