The silver doorsill emblem on my c230k that says 'MERCEDES-BENZ' looks like *****. I tried to peel it off with no luck. Does the entire sill need to be replaced?

Welcome to the forums...

Compared with the door sills (er, um... 1933 running boards, LOL!) on a 1965 Beetle, the MB door sills looks great. Why do you want to remove it? Sorry, just my opinion.

Do a search on "door sill" on this forum and you will find dozens (maybe even hundreds) of threads about this topic, including replacement options, how to procedures, 4,000 additional opinions, etc.

That is bad looking. At first I would suspect alot of foot traffic messing it up but the plastic on either side looks fine. You would think that the plastic would be trashed looking if you had someone with Frankenstein shoes kicking up your sills.

I have seen some really nice looking installs of the illuminated sills. Definitely on my list of mods.

Right now I am still trying to swallow 54K out of my checking account so mods need to wait for a few weeks.

the sills are not that bad, i really rarely see it, lols, i dont look at it...maybe if i stare at it everyday, it'll get annoying to me and i;ll end up changing it!??
